ISPS is the official partner for the construction of the tent and test booths for the quarantine and testing facilities at the four (4) Bayanihan Mega Testing Centers. Spearheaded by the Department of Health (DOH), the mass testing project is the country's most ambitious effort yet in the fight against COVID-19.
RAPID ANTIBODY TESTING
A cheaper alternative to Antigen and PCR tests, rapid antigen or prick tests are by far the lowest cost and also provide the fastest results (within minutes) while being the least invasive. Relying upon the immune response of the testee Antibody tests are important for establishing who has had the virus.
ANTIGEN SWAB TESTING
Rapid Antigen tests also known as Rapid Diagnostic Tests (RDT) detect viral proteins created by the COVID-19 Virus in the body. While being more expensive than Antibody tests they are typically more accurate and still provide a faster yield time than PCR tests (15-60 mins) but still slower than Antibody.
ANTIGEN SALIVA TESTING
Rapid Antigen Saliva tests are the newest innovation in COVID-19 detection offering a less invasive means for collecting viral proteins created by the COVID-19 Virus in the body. The new tests are also more cost efficient than typical Antigen swab tests and are now available at ISPS clinics across the country.
RT-PCR TESTING
Molecular PCR tests also known as Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Nasopharyngeal test (Nucleic Acid) when performed under the correct conditions provides the highest accuracy in COVID detection. Due to the sample needing to be tested in a Laboratory it is also the most expensive and slowest in result time.
