DOH-Accredited Labs Partner with ISPS Manila for RT-PCR Testing

Updated: Aug 24, 2022

Since its founding, International Sanitization and Protection Suppliers (ISPS) has risen to become the trusted name in the Philippines when it comes to Sanitization, Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), Disinfection, Testing, and Custom-Built Solutions. ISPS provides PPE for various hospitals, research facilities, health and wellness centers and became the go-to disinfectant provider of high profile clients.

The outbreak of the global pandemic prompted many different companies to adhere to safety protocols mandated by the Philippine government. Businesses in public and private sectors have their employees and staff undergo COVID-19 tests to ensure they are in good health before proceeding to work. In the same manner, laboratories accredited by the Department of Health (DOH) and other big corporations continue to partner with ISPS to conduct Reverse Transcriptase Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) testing in their companies. ISPS established itself as a leading authority in testing when commissioned to build the Philippines’ largest Testing and Quarantine center at the Philippine Arena.

Walk-in Clinic vs Mobile Service (Home Service)

Walk-in clinics refer to any clinic that provides testing either with or without an appointment. These medical facilities are designed to offer diagnostic solutions to those without insurance or who are unable to afford the exorbitant pricing of hospitals while providing convenience and access guaranteed by the surety of DOH-accredited laboratories.

Our testing clinic in Manila is available for clients via appointment or walk-in. The following are our available testing services with their corresponding prices per test:

  • RT-PCR Test with results out in 24 hours - ₱3,999

  • RT-PCR Test with results out in 48 hours - ₱3,599

  • Rapid Antigen Test (Saliva,Throat, Nasal) - ₱960

  • Rapid Antibody Test - ₱499

You can visit the ISPS Manila clinic site located at 273 Corner Xavierville Ave., Katipunan Ave., Quezon City. We are open from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Mondays to Sundays.

As for mobile service (or home service as it is also known), according to the World Health Organization (WHO), this method is flexible and a viable option for treating isolated and vulnerable groups as well as providing the potential for servicing newly displaced populations. These are regularly used to reach people cut off from access to health services especially due to lockdowns.

ISPS now offers mobile testing services for RT-PCR, Rapid Antigen, and Rapid Antibody to boost mass testing efforts in the country. Read more about it here.

We can accommodate clients anywhere within Metro Manila. For more inquiries about setting an appointment, you may reach us through the contact details listed below.

What is RT-PCR or Swab Testing?

This molecular test, which diagnoses active coronavirus infection, is the golden standard in COVID-19 testing because it detects even trace amounts of antigens, foreign substances capable of stimulating an immune response, in COVID-19. The machines used by laboratories amplify the specimen to ensure detection. For all real-time RT-PCR testing, specimen processing is only ever conducted via our network of DOH-accredited laboratories.

Polymerase Chain Reaction is a DNA-based technology that provides a valuable tool for the detecting and qualifying mold/fungi and bacteria. This method allows for faster detection compared to culture methods and provides an excellent tool for accurate identification to the genus or species level.

For RT-PCR Mobile Testing, we can produce results based on the client’s request. The following are the corresponding prices for each result time chosen:

RT-PCR Test:

  • Results out in 24-Hour - ₱3,999

  • Results out in 48-Hour - ₱3,599

*Mobile service charges an additional ₱500 per person. (Capped at ₱2,000 per location within Metro Manila only)

ISPS also offers testing services for Rapid Antigen and Rapid Antibody tests.

What is Rapid Antigen Testing?

Antigen tests are the second best option for detecting COVID antigens. It actually detects the presence of COVID in the sample acquired from the patient. The antigens detected are expressed only when the virus is actively replicating therefore such tests are best used to identify currently infected people.

The procedure of an antigen test is similar to a RT-PCR test where both methods make use of throat or nasal swabs to get sample fluids from patients.

Rapid Antigen Test:

  • Nasal - ₱960

  • Throat - ₱960

  • Saliva - ₱960

*Mobile service charges an additional ₱500 per person. (Capped at ₱2,000 per location within Metro Manila only)

What is Rapid Antibody Testing?

Rapid Antibody Testing is a type of rapid diagnostic test (RDT) that detects antibodies or protective proteins produced by the immune system that form during an illness caused by a specific virus.

There are two types of antibodies that this test looks for:

  • IgM antibodies, which are the first antibodies generated during the illness

  • IgG antibodies, which are formed later during the illness

This kind of test is the cheapest COVID testing method and is usually suitable for monitoring recoveries as opposed to detecting current illnesses.

Rapid Antibody Test - ₱499

*Mobile service charges an additional ₱500 per person. (Capped at ₱2,000 per location within Metro Manila only)

All these COVID-19 testing methods are certified effective and can be availed by any agency or organization in the new normal to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus. These are recommended to identify person/s under investigation (PUI), person/s under monitoring (PUM), asymptomatic carriers, and people who work in environments that require frequent contact with other people.

Cost-effective rapid antibody and antigen test kits can also be purchased at ISPS.
