The International Sanitization and Protection Suppliers (ISPS) was chosen by the Office of the Vice President to provide qualified and trained personnel to undertake regular disinfection on their premises.
The contract includes a total of 20 cleaning treatments each for Area A, which is considered the main office with 2,090 square meters, and Area B, the extension office with 1,193 square meters. Sessions take place every Saturday for Area B and every Sunday for Area A starting from August 07, 2021 up until December 18, 2021.
The order of the disinfection process is the following: Ultra Low Volume (ULV) misting, wipe down, Ultraviolet (UV) light, thermal fogging. Misting is a traditional way of disinfecting small or large areas in short periods of time and our disinfection team is equipped with 5 liter ULV foggers which are high-pressure sprayers that are capable of sanitizing surfaces, spaces, and the surrounding air.
As with any service, safety largely depends on what is being used, how much is appropriate for use in the given situation/location, how the service was done, and who is qualified to execute the treatment. For these reasons, it is best to employ field experts and professionals who can walk you through the service you requested, explain the chemical solutions being used, and execute the service properly and efficiently.
Our misting solution contains Biotab7, an EPA-registered disinfectant with a good safety profile, and once the operation is done, we recommend 8-15 minutes as an adequate amount of waiting time to allow the disinfection solution to dry; it is more effective in ensuring that all lingering microbes are destroyed compared to wiping.
As for disinfection services that include the use of UV lights, this usually takes a longer waiting period of 20-25 minutes, but it also depends as it is a case-by-case basis.
The fogging method, on the other hand, is a well-established and recognised technique for enhanced sterilization of the entire interior and exterior of a room including the atmosphere. The ‘fog’ is in the form of a fine mist which helps eliminate all pathogens in places that often cannot be reached by conventional cleaning.
